Some love stories are memorable,
Some are endearing,
And some shift the course of reality.

In New Orleans, the City that Care Forgot,
In it’s City of the Dead,
A love story unfolds,
Tearing across time,
Across realities,
Across the essence of human existence.

Two lovers battle fate back to each other;
Against a paranormal backdrop,
And through a torturous past -
To a place of truth -
Of Sanctuary.

I couldn’t explain
how we paint on this canvas.
Each with a different method
a different style
a different stroke.
No one can truly perceive
the art we create
the energy we pour
into the care of another.
Hopefully we inspire
hopefully we guide with a steady hand
hopefully we understand when our task is at an end
when its time to release
and watch another find their own way.
I couldn’t explain
how we paint on this canvas
how at times it goes unnoticed
and uncharted in the grand scheme of the world.
But how quietly we celebrate our great success
our great achievement
as we watch our children pursue their dreams.
