I’m sure there is a whisper
of something in the air
but I can’t hear it
so I’ll travel without care.
I’ll tread quietly
and perhaps stop to listen
beyond the noise of my own thinking
and the loud clamor of the world
claiming to be
what it is not.
Perhaps there is a murmur
a truth, so delicate
but persistent in its presence.
