I wanted to let everyone know that my new book, Explanations, will shortly be available through both Amazon and Cornerstone Book Publishers. Explanations is a collection of poetry, some of which you’ve seen here but much of which you have not, tracking my personal   personal quest of making peace with life, the past, and what it all means in the big picture. It’s a book I’m very proud of and excited to see released.

In this, her second poetry collection, Evelyn Klebert takes us down the intricate path of a personal journey. Life with its particular struggles, pitfalls, and ultimately triumphs clearly begins to mirror a universal path, the quest for answers that we all ultimately pursue. In this reflective, esoteric collection we can all explore and seek some of life’s elemental mysteries and hopefully when all is said and done emerge with some Explanations.

I just wanted to dedicate this poem to a very special person that has just crossed over. I know that heaven has just become a little bit livelier. He’ll be missed. 

The door swings wide,
while we are busy in our lives,
while we are taking care of what’s important.
The door swings wide,
and we pause in a bit of surprise,
unexpected, but then we knew it was always a possibility.

But somewhere along the way,
we shelved that possibility and its immienence,
because it was easier.
So for us your leaving seems a shock,
a surprise, an unexpected blow.
But for you, you were waiting, and wondering, and curious.
Just knowing it was only a matter of time.
The door swings wide,
and loved ones pass out of our lives,
out of our lives,
and onward to something new.
